San Diego International Airport (IATA: SAN), sometimes referred to as Lindbergh Field, is a public airport located 3 mi (4.8 km) northwest of the central business district of San Diego, California and 20 mi (32 km) from the Mexico – United States border at Tijuana, Mexico.
World War II brought significant change to the airfield when the Army Air Corps took it over in 1942 to support the war effort.
Presently, there are three terminals at Lindbergh: Terminal 1and 2 and commuter terminal.
